I am just not willing to spend the time to harvest the does required to keep Wayfar Farm with a balanced population. Also I have two state record bucks in the books (both taken on Wayfar Farm) and don’t feel the desire to undertake the challenge of killing another trophy buck. But the does (25 tags per year) need to be harvested and I spend a small fortune planting for our animals, so we are entertaining the idea of leasing some blocks of our farm to a few (maybe up to four) bowhunters. Wayfar farm was first placed under Quality Deer Management 30 years ago by my father and I have carried his vision. We have an incredible population of deer and turkeys, and as diversified habitat as exists in the Lowcountry of South Carolina. Give me a call and we’ll get on the Bad Boy Buggie and ride over the farm, but I must warn you. After the ride, you’ll be writing a check, for this property is truly a gem.
